Oh god the lengths I went to get the Alice Through the Looking Glass palette in Australia...I ordered it from Nordstrom and paid a fortune to get it express shipped (idk why I couldn't just wait for regular shipping but hey that's the thing with hyperfixations...). I decluttered the palette many years ago but I still have and still use the brush!

Came here from your original collection video in 2015, so glad you've done an updated version of this! EDIT: Omg I had the Vice Ltd Reloaded, I still have the brush! I also still use the bag for Vice 4, I store my stage makeup in it.

As a Karin Slaughter fan, this was one of my favorites. I don't mind the graphic detail. Don't get me wrong, it's still gut wrenching and heart breaking, my last re-listen was actually at work and I had to go to the bathroom to stop crying. But I like when a book can really move me emotionally. But another big reason I love her books on Audible is because of the narrator. She does such a fantastic job at conveying the emotions Slaughter wrote down. I don't think the books would hold as much power just reading them silently...you need Sam and Charlie's intense screaming matches to really experience the whole story. But I'm biased, I don't think there's a single Slaughter book I haven't loved...besides Cleaning the Gold maybe...but I never got into Jack Reacher so that could be why. Pretty Girls was also really good, so many turns I didn't expect. But that was pretty much the threshold for the amount of graphic violence/detail I could handle. Had to set that down multiple times on my first read because it was just so brutal. Pieces of Her wasn't bad, but definitely my least favorite. Just started the sequel Girl, Forgotten and it has a lot more intrigue than the previous one! Can't wait to find out who killed Emily and who the father was (I'm thinking they'll end up being different people, maybe it was even Ricky who killed her 🤔). Anyways, thanks for the honest review! If you don't like how graphic these are, Pieces of Her and Girl, Forgotten seem to be a lot easier to take in. Has more of the mystery and less of the gore. But if you can handle some of it, Grant County and Will Trent series are fantastic and you will fall head over heels for the characters! Yes, even Will!

Just finished it! I was hyped when I heard Jackie kicked the fire's %&^%$! 🚰 I definitely drank more water too as I was reading it. I think that's a common thing, because I saw it mentioned a by a few others. I also had an extra connection with the story and the author. I live in southern California (where the story takes place), and it's June right now just like it was in the story. So trippy... To add to it... When one of the chapters started with "Monday...June 6th," it was actually Monday, June 6th, as I was listening to the book while walking around my neighborhood. Oh... oh... oh! And we alsoooo have drought protocol going on right now in Los Angeles where you can only water your lawn twice a week for 5m minutes at a time. Just wow! And the author, Neal Shusterman went to may alma mater, UC Irvine, and is originally from Brooklyn, NY where my mom is from. Well... that's all folks And remember to #DRINKUP ⛲
